Fall seems to bring everyone together more. For my fam it’s the recover, reset, time off work, vacation season, so family dinners are in full swing and I’ve been busy making foods for the gang. This recipe turned out to be a fun and easy dish paired with one of my favorite sweet potato fries recipe and a side of greens. 🙂 If you’re not whole30ing right now, you can sandwich one of these in-between my easy 5 minute flourless hamburger buns… that just happens to be paleo!

For this recipe, I used this Trader Joe’s Chile Lime seasoning blend, which I highly recommend! Other brands will work as well, but this one is SUPER tasty!! I hope you enjoy! 🙂 Have a happy healthy day lovelies!

Chile Lime Avocado Burgers

Zesty chile lime burgers- whole30 style! These healthy spiced up burgers are perfect served alongside a dish of sweet potato fries and some avo! Your family is going to love this southwestern whole30 dish!

Total Time: 16 minutes

Ingredients

  • 21 oz ground hamburger
  • 1 cup crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup chopped cilantro
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons cumin powder
  • 2 tablespoons chili lime seasoning blend I get mine from Trader Joe's
  • oil for cooking

Instructions

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat on the stove.
  • In a bowl, mix ingredients together until well combined. Form 2 1/2" patties (makes 12).
  • Grease skillet and cook burgers four at a time (or however many you can fit on the pan) for about 3 minutes on a each side. Serve with avocado and my homemade paleo ranch dressing- link to recipe in recipe notes.

    Made this tonight & love this recipe. So flavorful. I didn’t have the chili lime seasoning so made one myself but I imagine the Trader Joe one mix would be fantastic. Thank you for this recipe.

    Hello, I’m a skilled home cook. I’m currently on the Whole 30 cleanse. Was looking for some cooking inspiration and found you. Love your story and style. However I made these burgers today and while they were tasty.. I have to ask why the egg? It made the meat mixture very wet and seemed highly unecessary in hindsihgt. The flavors were spot on but I’m just curious…

      Hi Gillian, I find that the egg helps to bind things together and keeps things light- my mom always cooked our burgers with eggs in them growing up and I really liked the texture it brought. 🙂 Hope that helps. You can add a bit of flour is it was too wet for your taste or leave the egg out.

    Hi! This recipe was delicious however my burgers fell apart on the grill. It seemed like there was too much liquid and they didn’t bind together very well. Do you have an advice for next time? Your recipes always have so much flavor so I’d really like to make this again. Thank you
